Neato trick for the Ventrilo server status

Filed under: Tech — august @ 12:30 pm

Hey, I found this cool little service for checking the status of the ventrilo server (who’s online, etc.) It’s on the main ventrilo web page, but basically just follow the “Vent Status” link on the right.

TLC’s at it again

Filed under: Tech — FrostByte @ 3:40 pm

With the semi recent release of Team Fortress 2 the LAN Clan has been active again.  Tuesday nights we join up to stomp any opposition.  With the addition of our new Ventrilo server, the clan has been extra organized and allowed us to clear out public servers with newbs running in fear.

If you have not played TF2 yet, get off your ass and pick it up.  You can download it online though steam, or buy it in the Orange Box package in stores.  Ever since TF:Quake, we have been waiting for this game.  No other game for the last 4 years has brought the clan back together like this.

So join us on Tuesday nights at 9:30pm (CST).  Join the vent server (info provided in forums), tag your steam account with [tlc] and come join us in dominating anyone in our path.

Back to the roots

Filed under: Tech — FrostByte @ 2:13 pm

Well its been way too long for the clan to be so inactive.  With college and people all over the country we have all stayed in touch, but not played many games.  I say to this “WTF”

So to fix this, Luke and I have started doing a game night.  Right now, its me, Luke, his roomate Jon, and Steve.  We are starting up NWN2.  Now this is just a start.  We are looking to set up more game nights with preselected games.  As most of you know time is limited, so if we can get this setup before, we can play longer.

So check out the forums again, vote/suggest games  and we’ll get the clan back to gaming

This is part one in a two part paper on Cracking WEP with Windows XP. This first part covers sniffing wireless traffic and obtaining the WEP key. Part Two will cover associating with a Wireless AP, spoofing your MAC address, trying to log on administratively to the AP and further things you can carry out on the WLAN once authenticated successfully.

I read this article today, and it just hits the nail on the head. For you new guys, it might not be as relivent…but it will be…MARK MY WORDS…you will get old. Shit will no longer make sence. New technologies will seem pointless.

Filed under: Tech — FrostByte @ 5:15 pm

Well I broke down and bought us a dedicated (vitural) server.  Now we should have near 100% uptime.
Enjoy!
